More Backstage Details On Major Shake-Ups to WWE TLC PPV Card
As we noted moments ago, WWE General Manager Kurt Angle will be making his return to the ring, replacing Roman Reigns in the main event of this Sunday night’s WWE TLC PPV.
Additionally, WWE is reporting AJ Styles will be replacing Bray Wyatt on the PPV, and Styles will face Finn Balor in a singles match. Styles did not work last night’s WWE live event in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and stomach issues was the rumored reason for his absence, but it appears as if he will be good to go for WWE TLC.
We have been reporting all week that Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas and JoJo Offerman have been kept off the road and off WWE TV due what possibly could be an outbreak of viral meningitis. It was noted that Dallas might have contracted the illness, and WWE was keeping Wyatt and Offerman away from the rest of the WWE roster for preventative reasons.
PWInsider.com is now reporting WWE requested many of the TLC talents to undergo medical testing to see if they had contracted whatever is ailing Dallas, and it’s very possible Wyatt and Reigns being pulled from the PPV is linked to Dallas. PWInsider added Dallas does indeed have some sort of “communicable disease,” but the specific nature of the illness was not revealed.
