Following NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool, Triple H commented on the decision to remove Travis Banks from the card, replacing him with Finn Balor.
The Kiwi Buzzsaw was set to go one on one with Jordan Devlin, but the Irish Ace attacked Banks before the match which stopped the match from taking place, but he was then replaced by Balor to a huge ovation.
Following the show, Triple H spoke to the media and Alex McCarthy of Talk Sport shared some comments from him, with Triple H discussing the decision to make the change.
“He was extremely cool with it. It’s not the end of that story-they’re going to get their moment. Part of me hates taking the moment away from him but it’s for the betterment of everybody. In some way, everyone worked hard tonight but his sacrifice almost means more. It’s about the individual product, not the individual and that’s the way he (Banks) took it because he’s a pro.”
