Asuka Botches a Move, Bayley on Missing TLC, Football Star in WWE

Asuka ended 2018 on a high note by winning an epic TLC match against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the first time in her career. Asuka remains a fan-favorite in WWE, and there are certainly fans who are interested in seeing what she can accomplish next in WWE. Unfortunately for the new champion, she has accidentally slipped up during a recent WWE live event. Asuka faced Flair and Lynch once again in a Triple Threat match during a show in Tampa, Florida last night when she ended up botching a move. “The Empress of Tomorrow” appears to be attempting a dropkick on Lynch in the corner, but she misses “The Man” and instead crashes down to the ring canvas.

WWE Superstar Bayley is still a favorite among WWE fans, but over the past few months, some have taken issue with her place on the main roster. Bayley has mostly been working in a tag team with Sasha Banks, but some fans believe that the former Raw Women’s Champion can do more than simply being relegated to a tag team wrestler. Bayley missed out on several different pay-per-views in 2018, and she talked about being left off of last month’s TLC show during an interview with Metro. Bayley acknowledged that she was left off of the show despite it taking place in her hometown of San Jose, California. Although Bayley was disappointed, she did say that she still loved the show and greatly appreciated the women’s TLC main event match.

“I wished I was on the show because it was in my hometown so I’m a little
bitter about it. I was really happy with the main event, Charlotte,
Becky and Asuka all deserve to be in that spot. I was jealous because I
want to be in a TLC match but I’m very happy to see them in that
position. Asuka winning was very cool because everyone knows how hard
she works.”
Bayley said.
Fans should expect to see some brand new faces on the WWE roster very soon. WWE is still attempting to “shake up” their main shows, and a whole bunch of athletes are reportedly set to report to the WWE Performance Center later on this month. WWE will oftentimes host tryout sessions at the Performance Center in Orlando for those who aspire to get signed and become WWE Superstars, and it looks like a former Canadian Football League player is throwing his name in the hat for an upcoming tryout. Marco Iannuzzi asked fans on Facebook what his name should be when he joins WWE in 2019. When asked if he was joking or not, Iannuzzi said that he was being serious. As of now, it is unclear if he is attempting to get signed or if he has already agreed to a deal.
