“College GameDay” rolls into Lincoln, Neb. for the Week 5 Big Ten matchup between Ohio State and the hometown Huskers.
This will be both teams’ second game in conference play after Ohio State downed Indiana 51-10 in Week 3 and Nebraska beat Illinois 42-38 in Week 4, respectively. Had the Cornhuskers not had a late collapse against Colorado earlier this season, this almost certainly would be a matchup of top-25 teams.
This will clearly be Nebraska’s biggest challenge thus far this season, but the same could be said of the Buckeyes, who have rolled over pushover competition with ease. The combination of quarterback Justin Fields and running back J.K. Dobbins might be too much for Nebraska’s defense to handle, but it will be interesting to see if Huskers quarterback Adrian Martinez can keep his team within striking distance.

This will be the seventh time “College GameDay” visits Lincoln, but only the first time since 2007. Cornhuskers fans will be happy to know Nebraska is 5-1 with “College GameDay” in town — the lone loss, however, occurred in its last visit in 2007: a 49-31 win for top-ranked USC over No. 14 Nebraska.
