Foot Mercato report this afternoon that Ligue 1 sides Reims and Toulouse are interested in signing Galatasaray’s Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed on a loan deal this summer.
The 24-year-old was among Saint-Étienne’s winter transfer targets in January 2021, with Les Verts having then offered €3m amid interest from Nantes and Braga, but a move never materialised and he joined Galatasaray instead.
Now, Reims and newly-promoted Toulouse are among the teams who are after the striker, who has scored 7 goals in the Turkish top flight this season. Schalke as well as several Spanish clubs are also said to be interested.
The former Zamalek man had been on loan in Istanbul for a year before his club exercised the permament clause in the deal from the reigning Egyptian champions for a sum of €5.5m
The next few weeks could now see the international centre-forward finally make his move to Ligue 1, as both Reims and Toulouse look to formulate a loan offer.
