WWE Smackdown Results
December 12, 2017
Report by Mike Killam for ProWrestling.com

– Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are shown backstage handing out flyers that say “Occupy Smackdown”. They’re trying to get people to rally behind them against Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon, and are even wearing Daniel Bryan t-shirts in an attempt to garner sympathy from the GM.

IN-RING SEGMENT

WWE Champion AJ Styles came out to get the party started live in Cincinnati, but before he could really get the ball rolling he was interrupted by Sunil and Samir Singh. They ran footage of what Jinder Mahal did to them just two weeks ago on Smackdown, which the champ quite enjoyed. One of the Singhs (I believe it was Samir) said that normally they’d be out here to introduce Jinder Mahal, but after that attack they’re officially done with the “Modern Day Maharaja”.

Styles admits that he feels bad for them, but doesn’t quite trust the Singhs as Jinder would do anything to get the WWE Championship back from him, including sending his goons in to trick him. Samir starts ranting about all the things he hates about Jinder, like how he flies first class while they got thrown in with the luggage, and how he makes them kiss his feet and carry his bags. Apparently Mahal’s feet smell like garlic and roast chicken. Sunil doesn’t look confident about his brother’s ranting and raving and tries to save face for Jinder. Samir says that Jinder can’t even tell them apart and thinks they’re twins, and makes them dress exactly the same. He finally calls the “Modern Day Maharaja” a disgrace to 1.3 billion people of the great nation of India…

Jinder has heard enough. The former champion makes his way out obviously not happy about what’s going on. Styles is still not convinced, despite the Singhs claiming they want to be in his corner at WWE Clash of Champions. He tells Jinder nice try, but he’s not going to be fooled that easily. This Sunday he’ll make sure they have a fair, one-on-one fight, and then plants of the brothers with a stiff headbutt. He goes to work on the Singhs and dumps them over the ropes, as Jinder goes to check on them. So either Styles just called Jinder’s bluff, or he basically just continued to assault two poor dudes who can’t catch a break…

CHARLOTTE FLAIR vs. RUBY RIOTT

This is going to be a chaotic one. Natalya joined commentary and both Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan were ringside supporting their leader. As expected the match doesn’t actually last long. Almost as soon as the bell run they cut to commercial, during which Riott took advantage after numerous distractions from the outside. Back from break and Charlotte rolls to the floor, taking out Morgan with a big boot. Natalya gets in her face and the two start brawling, which forces the ref to call for the bell.

The Riott Squad immediately goes on the attack, dismantling both women. Charlotte gets a burst of momentum and tries to fight back to a huge reaction from the crowd, but she can’t get anything going 3-on-1. Natalya recovered but didn’t want anything to do with what was happening to her Clash of Champions opponent, watching on from the other side of the ring. The Riott Squad ripped apart the steel steps and went to vault the Queen into them, but Naomi’s music played and the GLOW made a beeline for the ring! A huge running hip attack takes out all three ladies, who retreat up the ramp, but are cut off by the rest of the Smackdown women’s roster! The Riott Squad is forced to retreat as Naomi checks on Charlotte, Natalya ducks out the back door to safety, and the women all stare each other down.
