On the most recent edition of Comedy Central’s “Every Damn Day”, the hosts discussed and joked about Rusev getting a title shot against AJ Styles at WWE Extreme Rules, with host Ryan Beck being the wrestling fan of the group. Beck talked Rusev being a “lovable goofball” even though he is supposed to be a heel, and the other hosts chimed in with their memories of wrestling.
Host Chris Cotton noted he was a big fan of the Attitude Era, but when he tunes in now he doesn’t care about the storylines or the wrestlers, and he thinks they “suck”. Cotton goes on to criticize John Cena, saying he does not like him at all, as he is “weird”, and he is neither “cool” nor “charismatic”.
NXT Star Misses Taping
As noted, WWE NXT star Tucker Knight welcomed his new baby this week, which is why he was not present at Thursday’s NXT TV tapings at Full Sail University.
