NWA’s Billy Corgan appeared on today’s episode of Busted Open Radio on Sirius XM Rush 93, and in the clip below, Corgan talks Cody Rhodes challenging for the NWA Title at “ALL IN”, and Cody fighting for his father Dusty Rhodes every day.
“I grew up watching Dusty Rhodes on television, never got to see him live, unfortunately, and got to meet Mr. Rhodes in person a couple times at some WWE events,” said Corgan. “I have such tremendous respect for what Dusty Rhodes represented, and who he was, as an athlete and a performer. When I think of professional wrestling, he’s on my Mt. Rushmore.
But I loved what Cody said because we did interview him. He said, ‘people say, do it for Dusty’, he says, ‘I do it for Dusty every day.’ And what’s the tattoo he has on his chest, it’s for his father.
So we can sit here as fans and go on and on and on about Dusty this, and Cody that, but when we talk about Dusty Rhodes to Cody, that’s his dad.”
