The first-ever WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor took to social media this week to give fans an update on his progress as he continues to rehab his surgically repaired shoulder.
Balor didn’t shed much light in terms of specific details regarding the progress of rehab and the condition of his shoulder, as the caption for both social media entries — one on his Twitter page and the other on his Instagram account — both simply read “Ouch.”
You can check out the photos he posted on social media on Tuesday below. As noted, it was discovered during his operation in Birmingham, Alabama a couple of weeks ago that Balor’s injury was actually worse than initially believed. As things stand presently, it is expected that Balor won’t be ready to make his WWE return until 2017.
The most recent talk from within WWE regarding the timetable for the return of “The Demon King” appears to be around the time of next year’s WrestleMania. WrestleMania 33 is scheduled to take place on April 2, 2017 from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
