Mainstream media has it’s attention on WWE today following Kevin Owens and Elias’ RAW segment in Seattle, Washington this week.
The segment has been covered by publications such as Forbes, Newsweek, ESPN and other sports outlets.
The crowd began to boo at Elias and Kevin Owens after Elias took a shot at Seattle for not having an NBA team. The heat picked up throughout the remainder of segment. Some compared it to the critcism Roman Reigns recieved on RAW the night after WrestleMania 33 where he defeated The Undertaker. The booing continued for over six minutes, as seen in the video of the RAW segment below.
The Seattle Supersonics were the most recent NBA team that Seattle had, dating back to 1967, until moving to Oklahoma City in 2008 (later to be re-named The Oklahoma City Thunder).
The following was tweeted by Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com, who was at the Key Arena for Raw:
Dude, this heat. #Raw

Coincidentally, perhaps the biggest pop I’ve ever heard live was also in this same building about 20 years ago for, of all things, New Age Outlaws doing their catchphrase. #RAW

This is the craziest negative reaction I’ve ever heard live. I am not kidding. #RAW pic.twitter.com/PBrg17vxkv
