Eric Bischoff Denies Buying Promotion, Ricochet Update, Jericho

Eric Bischoff managed to get the wrestling world talking when he teased a big announcement on his social media accounts earlier this week. It was later reported that Bischoff had become the co-owner of Cleveland Knights Championship Wrestling. It was originally posted in a Yahoo! report, but when asked about the endeavor from a fan on Twitter, Bischoff informed the public that the report was “digital fake news.” The original report was actually a misinterpretation of the statements made by the promotion. They announced that Bischoff would be working for them during their show this past Saturday night. Bischoff and the promotion have issued a correction stating that he will not be a co-owner, but he is looking forward to “shaking some s%it up” with the promotion soon.

Flat out stupid. Congrats @yahoo! Digital fake news. https://t.co/ePoTObZUAf

Ricochet continues to be a top talent on the independent scene. He has been praised for several years for being able to perform in the ring in a way that no one else in the business currently can. He has been rumored to join WWE for a while, but he has been unable to do so due to restrictions put on him by Lucha Underground. Cageside Seats reports that Ricochet is indeed still rumored to be joining WWE as soon as he is able to do so. The belief is that Ricochet should be ready to sign with the company within the first few months or so of 2018. Be on the lookout for the fast-moving, high-flying wrestling sensation in an NXT ring extremely soon.

Chris Jericho is another wrestler has managed to get fans buzzing as of late. His upcoming wrestling-themed cruise in 2018 is set to feature some fantastic independent talent, and he will be competing against Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12 for New Japan Pro Wrestling soon. He has done just about everything in the wrestling business, so it may be surprising to learn that Jericho does not consider himself a legend. During an interview with TVInsider, Jericho was asked if he believes that he is a pro wrestling legend, which prompted Jericho to inform fans that he does not view himself that way. “I think I would be a pretty big a**hole to call myself a legend. Some people say that I have some sort of legendary status. And if someone says that, thank you very much. I’m more than happy to accept that. It’s hard for you to call yourself a legend. Although I did call myself the living legend in WWE. So, if you look back in 2004, my character definitely thought he was a legend.” Jericho said.
