The feud between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa on NXT has turned absolutely bitter in recent weeks. The two had been best friends and even won the NXT Tag Team Championships together, but Ciampa later turned on Gargano and even cost his former friend his job in NXT. Gargano has not stopped intruding on Ciampa’s personal life lately, which has led to NXT General Manager officially hoping to have to the two settle their differences in an unsanctioned match at NXT Takeover: New Orleans on April 7th. If Gargano wins the match, then he will be reinstated as a member of the NXT roster. The former #DIY teammates will go head to head in just two weeks.
IT’S OFFICIAL!@RealKingRegal has announced that, at #NXTTakeOver: New Orleans, it’ll be @ProjectCiampa vs. @JohnnyGargano in an #UnsanctionedMatch!

Shane McMahon has been away from Smackdown ever since he voluntarily stepped down as the show’s Commissioner. However, it seemed like changes to WWE’s WrestleMania plans were bound to take place after it was revealed that McMahon was suddenly hospitalized with acute diverticulitis. McMahon later stated on social media that he had a successful stay at the hospital and is hopeful that he will be able to return to WWE very soon. Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan confirmed that McMahon will team up with him to face Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania, so unsurprisingly, Cageside Seats reports that McMahon has been feeling better lately and should be back on TV as soon as next week.
Currently one of the most entertaining stars in all of WWE as a member of The New Day, Big E is somebody that could have great potential as a singles star in WWE one day. Although Big E’s future in WWE may look bright right now, plans for one of the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE history may have gone completely differently had they gone his way. Big E recently revealed an interesting pitch that he made to the company when he got signed about nine years ago. The former Smackdown Tag Team Champion claimed on Twitter that he originally wanted to be a wrestling postman named Mel Mann, but unfortunately (or fortunately?), WWE decided to go in another direction with him.
Almost 9 years ago, when I got signed, my very first pitch was to be a wrestling postal worker named Mel Mann. Shockingly, it was shot down.
