New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) recently held their Power Struggle Event which emanated from The Edion Arena Osaka in Osaka Japan. The show was highlighted by IWGP Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho defending his IWGP Intercontinental Title against “King Of Darkness” EVIL in the main event and Tetsuya Naito taking on Zack Sabre Jr. in the co-main event. – “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii (c) def. Minoru Suzuki by pinfall with the vertical drop brainbuster to retain The RPW British Heavyweight Title.
– Tetsuya Naito def. Zack Sabre, Jr. by pinfall with Destino.
– Chris Jericho (c) def. “King Of Darkness” EVIL by submission with the Walls of Jericho to retain The IWGP Intercontinental Title. After the match, Jericho locks the hold back on EVIL but Naito makes the save. Y2J bails and runs up the ramp clutching his IWGP Intercontinental Title over one shoulder. He asks Tetsuya if he wants it but brushes it off and heads up the ramp. Naito gets on the mic and officially challenges Jericho for the title as the show comes to a close.
