On a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio Program, Dave Meltzer speculated that we won’t know much or hear much of anything regarding John Cena’s WrestleMania 35 plans going into this coming Sunday’s show. As previously reported, there was a deal on the table for Cena to return for a match at WrestleMania 35 and that Cena was expected to agree to whatever that match may be.
According to sources, John Cena is currently in New York City for WWE’s WrestleMania 35 Week, but there is still no word yet on who he will be facing at this Sunday’s WrestleMania 35. Cena is also not currently scheduled for any WrestleMania 35 Axxess Matches.
It was previously reported that Cena has wrapped up filming The “Playing with Fire” comedy movie in Vancouver, British Columbia. According to PWInsider, the movie is scheduled to be released theatrically on Friday, March 20th, 2020.
“Playing with Fire” also stars John Leguizamo, Keegan-Michael Key, Brianna Hildebrand & Judy Greer. Cena plays the lead role of a smokejumper, a firefighter who parachutes into remote locations to battle wildfires. The official synopsis reads like this: “A crew of rugged fighters meet their match when attempting to rescue three rambunctious kids.”
