NFL Draft order 2020: Updated list of picks for every team after Packers, Titans bow out | Sporting News

Welcome to the 2020 NFL Draft order, Titans and Packers. The losers of conference championship weekend in the NFL playoffs are officially in place, locked into Pick Nos. 29 and 30.

Tennessee fell into the No. 29 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft as soon as it lost to Kansas City on Sunday. The Titans, who finished the regular season with a 9-7 record and barely earned the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoffs, had the worst record among the teams still alive in the conference championship round. Green Bay clinched the No. 30 overall pick with its loss in San Francisco.

MOCK DRAFT 2020:
Titans find another WR; Packers go defense

The first 20 picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, of course, were set upon the conclusion of the regular season. The Redskins earned the No. 2 overall pick behind the Bengals, who secured the top pick back in Week 16. Pick Nos. 21-24 were set upon the conclusion of the wild-card playoffs, when the Eagles, Bills, Patriots and Saints cemented their positions. Based on the results of the divisional round, the Vikings got the No. 25 pick, with the Seahawks and Ravens getting No. 27 and No. 28, respectively.

Per usual, the loser of the Super Bowl will get the 31st pick in the draft, and the winner will earn No. 32.

Below is the official NFL Draft order for the first 30 picks in 2020, now including the teams that lost in the conference championship round of the playoffs.

In Sporting News’ latest NFL mock draft for 2020, the Bengals land LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick.

“Offensive-minded coach Zac Taylor needs a franchise passer with Andy Dalton fading and Ryan Finley not showing much,” SN’s Vinnie Iyer writes. “Burrow has enjoyed a meteoric rise as the runaway Heisman Trophy winner and top QB prospect in this class. At 6-3, 215 pounds, he combines his mental and physical toughness in the pocket with a strong arm and accurate delivery.”

At No. 2 overall, the Redskins, now led by a new, defensive-minded coach in Ron Rivera, jump at the chance to land Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young.

Because we have Washington sticking with Dwayne Haskins and passing on a QB, and because the other teams in front of Miami likely won’t go for a QB, either, the Dolphins at No. 5 overall should have their choice of the remaining QBs, likely Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa or Oregon’s Justin Herbert. We have them going with Tua, with Herbert falling to the Chargers.
