424 Men’s Fall 2019

Los Angeles-based streetwear designer Guillermo Andrade’s fall proposition had a sustainable bent — he chose to upcycle unsold items and waste fabric from the label’s warehouse, transforming them into something new and making each garment unique in the process, a key draw at retail.

Black T-shirts were sewn into a blazer and workwear pants, the little red labels of their necklines nodding to logomania. Hoodies, denim workwear shirts and plaid fabrics were given a similar hybrid treatment in a more grungy register, also echoed in a range of randomly bleached T-shirts and jeans. Elsewhere, 424’s integration of Italian production delivered a varnished leather parka and matching pants in camel or an army jacket crafted from tailoring fabric for a more polished take on high-low.
