VIP Culture Thrives As Hockey India Officials Lash Out At Players For Entering VIP Lounge

There seems to be no cure for the deep-rooted VIP culture in India. People suffer due to it and there are times when even the most deserving people have to bear the brunt. In the latest incident that happened during the ongoing Hockey World Cup in Odisha, where the national team members were shouted at by the influential people in the Hockey India administration. According to reports, the players had entered the VIP Lounge Kalinga Stadium. The group of players included captain Manpreet Singh.

Reports suggest that the incident happened during the match between Canada and Netherlands.

As per the protocol of the tournament, the players were not entitled to be present at the VIP lounge. But on the request of a few near and dear ones, Manpreet and a few players entered the area and was busy in signing autographs and clicking pictures with their fans.
