Some of the world’s richest countries are neighbouring Yemen. The oil rich gulf state has no dearth of money. We all know ultra modern cities are being built in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and other Gulf countries. Yemen, however, is left to rot underneath the debris left after bombing by Saudi Arabia and its allied forces fighting the Houthi group. Like any other conflict in the world, this too has left women and children vulnerable. The misfortune of the Yemeni kids is that nobody cares about them. Even the United Nations has expressed its helplessness in giving humanitarian aid to Yemeni kids.
With less than half of funds pledged by donor countries received so far, humanitarian partners are forced to close life-saving assistance programmes.
