Another day, another major star added to Marc Jacobs’s buzzy fall 2016 campaign. On Wednesday morning, the beloved New York designer took to Instagram to introduce Kendall Jenner as the latest model to join his autumnal portfolio, which includes portraits of Missy Elliott, Cara Delevingne, Courtney Love, and more famous faces.
Dressed in an all-black frock and sky-high platform boots from the runway collection, Jenner looks like a pro in the red-tinged campaign image. For Jacobs, selecting her to star in the campaign was a no-brainer. “I will always remember the first time I met Kendall during castings for our fall 2014 fashion show,” Jacobs wrote in his caption to the photo. “It goes without saying that Kendall has gone on to establish an incredible career for herself and every bit of it is a testament to her hard work, passion, and desire.”

The former Louis Vuitton artistic director went on to explain Jenner’s impressive bravado. “During casting for fall ’16, due to the enormous height of the boots we designed, we had to make certain that each girl was able to walk (and walk safely),” he said. “Kendall slid those boots on and walked around the studio as if she was in a pair of running shoes: statuesque, confident, and just as enthusiastic and excited to be doing the show as if it was her first one.”

It sounds as though the supermodel has Jacobs’s golden seal of approval for years to come.
