Tottenham vs Southampton: TV channel, live stream, squad news & preview

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be looking to bounce back from their north London derby defeat by piling the misery on a struggling Saints team

Tottenham will look to bounce back from their loss in the north London derby with a game against relegation candidates Southampton.

Spurs were comprehensively beaten 4-2 by Arsenal at the weekend at the Emirates whilst Southampton threw away a two-goal lead to draw with Manchester United.

The Saints appointed former RB Leipzig manager Ralph Hasenhuttl prior to the game but not in time to take full charge.

The new boss will be in the stands, so the Southampton players should be looking to impress their new boss.

Both Tottenham and Southampton suffered demoralising results at the weekend and will be hoping to bounce back from them straight away.

Spurs will be grateful to come up against Southampton, with the south coast club in turmoil and with a caretaker taking charge.

Southampton’s draw against Manchester United doesn’t look bad on the surface of things but they will be disappointed to not take all three points after leading 2-0 early on.

Moreover, Tottenham ace Harry Kane will be hoping to build on his good goalscoring record against Saints. The Spurs frontman hit a hat-trick in this fixture last season.

Mauricio Pochettino faces off against his old club and he is hoping that they can turn their season around.

“I care a lot for Southampton… I have spoken with my family and I think it was one of the better periods in my life,” he said.

“We found some amazing people there, an amazing town and they provided us with everything to make us feel at home.

“They have the tools to lift themselves from their situation but we compete and we need to win the three points.”
