Cardinals' Larry Fitzgerald reaches second-most receptions in NFL history | Sporting News

Larry Fitzgerald has reached another impressive milestone.

The Cardinals veteran reached 1,326 catches Sunday against the Seahawks and passed Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez (1,325 catches) for second all-time on the NFL receptions list.

Fitzgerald, who trails only Jerry Rice with 1,549 receptions, entered the game with 1,321 receptions and accomplished the feat on a 13-yard catch late in the fourth quarter.

Fitzgerald, 36, opted to put retirement off for at least another year and re-sign with the Cardinals on a one-year deal this past offseason.

He was also already second all-time in receiving yards after entering Sunday’s game with 16,532 yards. He once again trails only Rice with 22,895 yards.
