Fantasy Football Injury Updates: Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, A.J. Green affecting Week 4 WR rankings | Sporting News

The Eagles passing game has multiple wide receivers worth playing when healthy, but in a short week ahead of Thursday Night Football, there are a lot of questions. Both Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson are at varying levels of doubt against the Packers, leaving the fantasy start ’em, sit ’em viabilities of Nelson Agholor and waiver wire pickup Mack Hollins hanging in the balance. At least fantasy owners have a timetable for their return. That’s not true for A.J. Green, who, according to the latest updates, is still not close to returning.

We also have the latest news on Saquon Barkley and LeSean McCoy‘s injuries here, and for the latest on Damien Williams, Rashaad Penny, and Devin Singletary, go here. For more of the latest news and fantasy updates, follow us on Twitter (@SN_Fantasy).

WEEK 4 NON-PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Will Alshon Jeffery play Thursday night?

Doug Pederson told reporters Monday that he’s “optimistic” Jeffery will suit up Thursday night to play the Packers. He missed Week 3 due to a calf injury. Jeffery was listed as a limited participant on the Eagles’ Monday injury report.

(Update: Pederson said Tuesday he expects Jeffery to play Thursday. Jeffery was also listed as a full participant in Tuesday’s practice.)

WEEK 4 DFS LINEUPS:
DK cash | DK GPP | FD cash | FD GPP | Y! cash | Y! GPP

Jeffery could be more important than usual if he plays and DeSean Jackson misses out again. The Packers’ defense has been stout so far in 2019, but Jeffery would be at least a WR3 play if he’s able to get healthy in time for Thursday Night Football.

DeSean Jackson injury update

Jackson was listed as a ‘Did not partcipate’ on the Eagles’ Monday injury report. He’d been ruled out with a core injury ahead of time for Week 3, suggesting his injury is behind Jeffery’s in healing.

(Update: Pederson told reporters Tuesday that Jackson will probably miss Thursday’s game.)

The absence of at least one Eagles’ wideout would presumably leave Nelson Agholor in an important role for Thursday Night Football. The former USC wideout has caught eight passes in each of the past two games. If both WRs missed out, Mack Hollins would also have FLEX appeal with his 15 targets across the past two games.

WEEK 4 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end

When will A.J. Green be back?

Bengals coach Zac Taylor told reporters Monday that he doesn’t want to place a timetable on Green’s return. Taylor confirmed that Green won’t play on Monday night against the Steelers.

WEEK 4: Waiver pickups | FAAB planner | Trade values | Snap counts

Tyler Boyd and John Ross will remain the Bengals top-two wideouts while Green is out, and they’ve both had fantasy starter value in the early going. Auden Tate surprisingly supplanted Damion Willis in three-wide sets in Week 3 and had eight catches, so in deeper leagues, Tate could have utility while Green is out, too.
