At AEW’s inaugural event in May, Double or Nothing, The Bucks defeated The Lucha Brothers to retain the AAA tag team titles in arguably the best tag team match of 2019. About two weeks ago, the dynamic duo from Mexico regained the belts. Now, with the addition of Omega and Kid, this will be a high-octane affair.

Moxley and Janela began their program after the former made his AEW debut at the end of Double or Nothing. In a backstage video, Moxley was pacing in his locker room when Janela interrupted him and started smoking a cigarette. Moxley proceeded to take it out Janela’s hand, take a puff, looked at Janela, flicks the cigarette at him and walked away. Since then, Janela has questioned just how tough Moxley really is and now we will find out when the rules are out of the window in this highly anticipated showdown.

On paper, this should a pretty good with the last two matches having the potential to be among the best of the year.

AEW Fyter Fest live updates, results

8:03 p.m.: Up next is Allie taking Leva Bates. It was supposed to be Kylie Rae and Bates, but no word on what happened. The librarian gimmick of Bates and Avalon has some potential. Interested to see how the storyline progresses.

7:55 p.m.: Best Friends get the win over SCU and Private Party to net an opportunity to get a first round bye in the tag team tournament. Better than expected but something just seemed off for one reason or another. The stakes made little sense as the winner should have received the bye.

The Dark Order came out afterwards like they did at Double or Nothing. This time though, they just surrounded the ring and stared down Barreta and Taylor. Hard to dig The Dark Order at this point. Need to see them in action sooner rather than later.

7:38 p.m.: The pre-show of AEW Fyter Fest, “Buy-In”, features Best Friends (Trent Barreta and Chuck Taylor) vs. SoCal Uncensored (Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian) vs. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) with the winner getting a shot at a first round bye in the AEW tag team title tournament. Best Friends wrestled at May’s Double or Nothing and beat Angelico and Jack Evans in a better than expected matchup. On the same show, SCU defeated Strong Hearts in an exciting opener. Couldn’t ask for a better opener.

7:30 p.m.: Welcome to Sporting News’ live coverage of All Elite Wrestling’s Fyter Fest. We have an exciting night of wrestling action ahead. So grab the refreshments, kickback and relax as SN takes you on the journey of AEW’s second ever event.
