LAS VEGAS – The spring of the heavyweights concludes at the MGM Grand Garden Arena where lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (27-0-1, 19 KOs) faces Tom Schwarz (24-0, 16 KOs) on Saturday night and live on ESPN+.
Fury returns to the ring for the first time since his epic encounter with Deontay Wilder that ended in a split draw last December. The framework is in place for a rematch with Wilder in 2020, but Fury will first have to take care of business against a relatively unknown opponent that is looking to pull off a massive upset and disrupt any plans for a return bout between Wilder and Fury.

Schwarz is unbeaten, but untested as he steps up to face the toughest challenge of his boxing career. The German heavyweight has competed for most of his career in his home country, but will venture to Las Vegas for his United States debut.
As for Fury, he will be fighting with a few firsts under his belt. The unbeaten “Gypsy King” will be competing for the first time under the ESPN/Top Rank outfit while having his first boxing match in Las Vegas. The 30-year-old will also complete a month where the top three heavyweights in the world all competed. Deontay Wilder made the highlight reel with his spectacular first-round finish of Dominic Breazeale, while Anthony Joshua was on the wrong side of history when he saw his unbeaten record and unified titles taken from him after being stopped by Andy Ruiz.
