Following on from France Football’s report on AS Monaco defender Marcel Tisserand, citing Arsenal interest in the player’s services, GFFN can confirm that they have been discussions between intermediaries and the player’s agent about a possible move.

This gives more credence to France Football’s claim that Arsenal are potentially after two defenders, including one established centre-back such as Shkodran Mustafi (Valencia) and Fabian Schär (Hoffenheim).
Marcel Tisserand is looking to leave AS Monaco for regular playing time and is in advanced talks with St Étienne. Although the player is said to be flattered by Arsenal’s interest, a deal is very unlikely.
