Ireland winger Mack Hansen left fans in stitches during his man-of-the-match interview after the Six Nations win over Italy.
Hansen scored twice in the 34-20 victory in Rome, but he was left red-faced after his blunder in the post-match interview.
Mack Hansen drops the F-bomb
Speaking to Irish TV channel RTE following the game, Hansen was asked about the upcoming match against Scotland.
However, as he started to answer the questions, he bumped the microphone stand, nearly knocking it over. He reached out to grab it before letting it slip.
“We haven’t thought about it that much; it’s been all about this week. But that’s going to be a tough one [Scotland at Murrayfield] away. I haven’t played at Murrayfield yet, so fingers crossed I can make that – oh, f***!” he said.

He quickly realised what he had said and reacted by saying, “Oh, pardon! Pardon! Pardon! Sorry!”

Grand Slam talk
Ireland currently tops the world rankings, and after victories over Wales, France and now Italy, Andy Farrell’s charges are starting to dream of a Grand Slam.
Hansen admits there is some chatter in the camp about claiming the title, but the players are not getting ahead of themselves.
“We do talk about it,” the 24-year-old said of a potential Grand Slam. “It’s hard to think about it too much because we do have to take it week by week.
“We can’t be thinking about England now; we can’t be thinking that we’ve already beaten Scotland, a really good Scotland team.
“We are going to have to go over Scotland and then go from there.
“Of course, there’s a chance to win a Grand Slam from there. It probably will be in the back of a few people’s minds here and there, but it’s still a thing you just have to take week by week.”
Positives
Farrell rested several of his star players for the trip to Rome, with others such as Johnny Sexton, Garry Ringrose and Tadhg Furlong missing the clash through injury.
Despite the changes, Ireland ran in five tries to secure the 20-34 win over a stubborn Azzurri side that was in the fight until Hansen’s second try in the 71st minute.
“It’s good to get ourselves in uncomfortable positions because it’s going to be happening for the rest of this tournament, especially up against Scotland and England,” the winger said.
“Definitely a lot of positives to take out of it, one being it was a tough one, and we had to work our way out of sticky situations.
“I still felt like we were in control. Even though it got close, we were still playing some good footie.”
Ireland face Scotland on Sunday, 12 March, in the Six Nations, with the competition taking another week’s break.
