Rennes have had a €1.8m proposal rejected by Brazilian giants São Paulo for left-back Junior Tavares, according to Ouest-France.
The 21-year-old is being courted to replace the injury-prone Ludovic Baal, but Rennes have been informed that they will have to offer €3m in order to prise the player away from his native country.
