Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reports this morning that Paris Saint-Germain defender Abdou Diallo is one of Newcastle United’s defensive targets for the January transfer window.
Newcastle, who recently came under the ownership of the Saudi Arabian state-owned fund, will be looking to reinforce their squad over the winter ahead of a relegation battle, as they currently lie in 19th place.
The 25-year-old arrived in 2019 from Borussia Dortmund for €32m, and is said have settled well at PSG. The former Monaco man is nevertheless on the Premier League side’s radar, although it remains to be seen whether they will be able to convince him to join. His contract expires at the end of the 2023/24 season.
