RMC are reporting that OGC Nice owner INEOS are unhappy with how their season has ended, and are ready to make changes to the club’s hierarchy.
According to RMC, on a sporting policy level, two contrasting visions of the club are emerging: that proposed by sporting director Julien Fournier and supported by Bob Ratcliffe and another proposed by Christophe Galtier, supported by president Jean-Pierre Rivère.
Should a decision need to be made between those two visions, “the choice is already made,” according to RMC. Fournier, who has been in his role since 2011, is “losing credit in the eyes of the club’s owners.”
Nice have endured a difficult end to the season. Having lost the Coupe de France final against Nantes, Galtier’s men also risk losing out on European football entirely, despite having spent a large part of the season in the Champions’ League places.
